Aged 83 years of High-Crest Nursing Home, Springhill, passed away on Wednesday, May 14, 2008 in High-Crest. Born in Springhill, she was a daughter of the Late Justin and Mary "Mayme" (McIssac) Anderson. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Springhill and worked on many projects within the Parish community; member of All Saints Hospital Auxiliary, Springhill and a long time member of the Cobequid Chapter IODE receiving an Honourary membership in 2006. She enjoyed baking and was an excellent cook and homemaker, was an avid speed reader, animals especially dogs, having had one most of her life, dancing, singing and she especially enjoyed the cottage at Heather's Beach where she spent each summer. She is survived by her husband James Angus "Angie" Henwood; brother, Maurice "Buddy" (Gloria) Anderson, Springhill; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers, Ralph and Judd; sisters, Isabel, Jean and Jacie. Visitations were held 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 Friday, May 16, 2008 in A. H. Brown Funeral Home, Springhill. Funeral Mass was held 11:00 am Saturday, May 17, 2008 from St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Springhill, with Father David MacDonald officiating. Burial in North Street Roman Catholic Cemetery, Springhill.
