The nieces and nephews regret to announce the death of their beloved uncle and friend, Walter F. White, 83 of Middle River, who died April 6, 2009, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
He was a son of the late Thomas and Sarah White.
Walter is survived by nieces, Charlene (Richard) Nicholson, Anne Marie (Jim) Tucker, Sherry (Brian) Musgrave, Karla Johnson and Arnell LeBlanc; nephews, Patrick (Ann) MacDonald, Kerry (Brenda) White and Kenny Wiseman; one sister, Colleen Mielke; sister-in-law, Marjorie White. He will be missed by his cousin, Murdock and his best friend, Felix his cat.
He was predeceased by his wife, Elizabeth ‘Betty’ White; sisters, Grace, Maisie, Peggy and Olive; brothers, Joe, Tommy and Arnold.
Visitation will be held at Farquharson Memorial Presbyterian Church on Wednesday, April 8, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral will be held Thursday, April 9, 2009 at 11 a.m. in Farquharson Memorial Presbyterian Church with Rev. Louis Ihasz officiating. Burial will be in Middle River Cemetery at a later date. Lunch in Middle River Hall after the service.
Donations may be made to Middle River Fire Department or First Responders.
