Mr. Courtney Foster MacPhail, husband of the late Hattie (Pitts), formerly of Yarmouth, NS, passed away March 31, 2010 in hospital at Grand Falls, NB. Born at New Glasgow, NS, in 1922, he was a son of the late Thomas Henry "Harry" and Blanche (Hardy) MacPhail. He was a retired Branch Manager with Atlantic Wholesalers Ltd. He is survived by his three children, Clarence (Shirley) of Calgary, AB, Harriet (Richard Dewitt) of Perth-Andover, NB, and Harry (Lise) of Grand Falls, NB, 11 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, one brother, Harry Campbell "Cam" MacPhail of Coldbrook, NS, as well as nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers and sister, Charles Alexander "Dougie" MacPhail, Annie Elizabeth MacPhail, Donald Franklin MacPhail and Norman Keith MacPhail.
Funeral services were held at O'Regan's Funeral Home of Grand Falls, NB. He will be laid to rest at a committal service on Monday, April 5th at 4 p.m. in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, New Glasgow with Father Gary MacPherson officiating.
