Surrounded by family at the Nashwaak Villa, Virginia Louise Chase (Phillips) went to be with her Lord and Savior on April 3, 2010. Born in Rusagonis, NB, on January 14, 1931, Virginia was the daughter of the late Norman and Laura Phillips. Virginia is survived by her loving husband, Sewell; three daughters, Linda Olive (Michael) of Kingston, ON, Sharon Fawkes (Randy) of Quispamsis, NB, Patti Morgan (Dennis) of Saskatoon, SK; two sons, Gary Chase (Carol) and Paul Chase (Trudy) of Fredericton, NB; three sisters, Marilla Fletcher of Saint John, NB, Carolyn Goss (James) of Quispamsis, NB and Norma Phillips (Fred) of New Maryland; two brothers, Archie (Hazel) of Moncton, NB and Darrell (Mary) of New Maryland; 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Virginia was predeceased by a daughter, Cynthia; sisters, Esther, Margaret, Marion, Eileen, Merle and Joyce; brothers, Frederick and Gerald; and a great-grand-daughter, Rogan. With her strong faith in God, Virginia had an impact on a great number of people throughout her life.
Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Monday, April 5, 2010 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at Marysville Baptist Church, 150 Cowperwaite Street on Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at 2 pm with Rev. David Dubois officiating. Interment will follow. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Marysville Baptist Building Fund, Parkinson Society of Canada or to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
