Dorothy "Dot" E. Hunter, age 76, of Springhill, passed away peacefully after a brief illness at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Center on Easter Sunday, April 4, 2010.

Born in Springhill, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Eleanor (Canning) Guthro.

She will be sadly missed by her husband Ross, Springhill; sister Mary (Gordy) Bardy, Hamilton, ON; sisters-in-law, Margaret (Harold) Ayer, Parrsboro, Dorothy (George) Murphy, Oshawa, ON, and Phyllis Smith, Quesnel , BC, brother-in-law Raymond (Bonnie), Quesnel, BC.

She was predeceased by several siblings.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the A H Brown Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane St., Springhill, (902-597-2361) where visiting hours will take place on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at 3 pm. Burial will take place in the Leamington Cemetery later in the spring.
