We are greatly saddened to announce the passing of our brother, John James Mombourquette, 80, at the VG site, QEII, Halifax.
Born in Sydney, John James was the son of the late David and Mary (Doucette) Mombourquette.
John James lived most of his life in Toronto with his late wife, Marion (Thouless).
John James was a veteran of the Korean Conflict after which he worked as an upholstery maker until his retirement.
Survived by brothers, Leo, Sydney, Stanley, Calgary, Mike, Barrie, Ont.; his sisters, Anna Mae of Nebraska, USA, Pat of British Columbia; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Besides his wife and parents, he was also predeceased by his sister, Lydia and brothers, Lester, James ‘Collie’ and Arthur ‘Archie’.
Visitation and service took place in Halifax with burial in Beachwood Cemetery, Toronto, next to his wife.
