It is with great sadness that the families of the late John (Jack) Holley announce his passing on Saturday, February 14th, 2009 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 83. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife: Emily Jane Holley, Interfaith Home; children: Stacia, Ben, Roy, Johanna, Perry, Roland, Hilda, Rosemary, Cedella , Sandra and their spouses; grandchildren: Allison, Joshua, Jessica, Mariah, Calesta, Dean, Scott, Francisco, Rockelle, Daniel, Maria, Augustine and Darren; as well as great grandchildren; brother: Gordon (May) Holley, Corner Brook; and a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is predeceased by his sisters: Pearl Dawe, Gertie George, Alice Green and Emmie Patey; and brother, Roy Holley. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. and on Tuesday, 10 A.M. to 12 Noon. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 17th at 2:00 p.m. from All Saints Anglican Church, Clarence Street, Reverend Derek Thomas officiating, interment to follow at Mt. Patricia cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society, Diabetes Association or to the Interfaith Home for seniors.
