It is with great sadness that the family of the late Laura May Pinksen announce her passing at the Western Memorial Hospital in Corner Brook on Wednesday, July 2nd, 2008 in her 86th year. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her six sons: John (Beatrice), Ross (Gertie), Roland (Gertie) and Scott (Daphne), all of Sop's Arm, Wayne (Viola) of Fort McMurray and Warrick (Valerie) of St. John's; her 25 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; her sister, Mrs. Clara Langdon of Grand Falls; also a large circle of relatives and friends. Mother was predeceased by her husband, Neathan; daughters: Ella May and Cecila; son, Douglas; brother, Roland Elms; sister, Lydia Andrews and her parents: George and Mary Ann Elms. The family will be receiving family and friends from the Pentecostal Church in Sop's Arm, today, Friday, July 4th, 2008 from the hours of 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., from where also the funeral service will take place on Saturday, July 5th, 2008 at 2 p.m. with Pastor Reginald Skinner officiating. Burial to follow at the church cemetery at Sop's Arm. In lieu of flowers, donations to The Compassion Canada Fund would be gratefully appreciated.
