Richard Floyd Burns, 70, passed away peacefully at the Kingston General Hospital, Ontario, on April 4th, 2010. Born in Shinimicas, Cumberland County, he was the son of the late Ross and Hilda (Morris) Burns. He worked for many years at American Motors and Chrysler in Brampton, Ontario. He is survived by wife Diane; Daughter Jennifer (Ryan Dempsey), Calgary; Son Richard, Kingston; Brothers Allan (Marilyn), Truro and Bertram (Carolyn), Georgetown, Ontario; Brother-in -law Harold Farrow, Amherst; many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by sister Helen Farrow, Amherst. Visitation will be held at Wartman Funeral Home, Kingston, Ontario, Thursday at 10 am followed by a funeral service at 11 am. Donations in Richards memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
