It is with regret, the family of Glenn Melvin announces his passing on Sunday, April 11, 2010 at the Upper River Valley Hospital, Waterville, NB. Born November 30th, 1932 in Hartland, NB to Guy and Margaret (Nixon) Melvin. Glenn is survived by his loving wife of 56 years Marilyn (Steele) Melvin, one son William (Barbara) Melvin of Timmins, Ontario; one daughter Kimberly (Gregory) Long of Gananoque, Ontario. Grandchildren David, Steven and Angela Melvin, Joseph and Kiera Long, and his sister Winnifred Manuel as well as several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by sister in-law Sandra Draper and brother in-law James (Lois) Steele. He was predeceased by his parents, one brother Roland Melvin, brothers in-law Clinton Manuel, Allan Cluff and Robert Draper and sister in-law Sally (Steele) Cluff.
Resting at the Scott Funeral Home, 815 Main Street, Woodstock, NB. There will be no visitation by request of the family. Friends and Family are invited to attend the Funeral Service on Wednesday, April 14th, 2010 at 1 pm from the Scott Funeral Home Chapel. A reception will be held at the Scott Funeral Home following the funeral service. Son-in-law Rev. Greg Long will be officiating with internment in the Greenwood Cemetery Hartland, NB.
