Evelyn Dunn Norland, 86, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 10th at the University Medical Center at Princeton. Born in New Brunswick, NJ, she graduated from Katherine Gibbs Secretarial School in NYC and worked at Permacel Tape in New Brunswick where she met her future husband Robert. They married in 1945 and resided in Cranbury for over 50 years prior to moving to Monroe Village. She is predeceased by her loving husband Robert Sr., two sons Robert Jr and David and brother Thomas. She is survived by her four sons and spouses; Richard and Nancy Norland of Titusville, Eric Norland of Bridgewater, Timothy and Betsey Norland of Cranbury, Carol Ann Norland of Somerset, Jean Norland of East Brunswick and Alex and Donna Betancourt of Kendall Park; along with seven grandchildren, Christina and husband Mark Audigier, Ned, Martin and wife Shanon, Michael, Jessica, Christopher, Ryan and great grandchild Robert. She is also survived by her brothers and wives; Alton and Gail Dunn of Seaside Heights and James and Roberta Dunn of Sturbridge, MA.Evelyn enjoyed playing bridge and was a long time member of the Cranbury Presbyterian Church, a docent for the Cranbury Historical Society, a member of the Cranbury Women's Club and ready volunteer for many organizations. Nova Scotia was a second home to her and her husband, and they spent many enjoyable summers in their cottage at Port Saxon. A memorial service will be held on April 24th at 11:00 am at the First Presbyterian Church of Cranbury, 22 South Main Street, Cranbury, NJ 08512. Cremation and burial will be private.
