McNutt, Cecil Henry - 80, Truro, passed away Sunday April 18, 2010 at the QEII Health Sciences Center, Halifax. Born in Brookside, he was the son of the late Noble and Winnifred (Isenor) McNutt. He loved gardening, puzzles and walking and enjoyed family and family gatherings. He was always available when needed by his family. He was a "jack-of-all-trades", especially carpentry. He enjoyed the simple things of life. He will be deeply missed by his family. He is survived by daughters, Carolyn (Tony) Thurlow, Sharon (Clinton) Hayter, both of Truro; sons, Eric (Tammy), Onslow Mountain, Terry, Dale (Tanya) both of Truro; grandchildren, Stephanie, Jason, Crystal, Ryan, Amanda; six great-grandchildren; sisters, Florence (Angus) MacAdam, Grace Cowl, Frances Caddell, Lillian Pratt, Hazel (Donald) Hatt; brother, Alden (Evelyn); several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Gordon, Chester and Russell; niece, Glenda Hatt. No visitation by request. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, April 21 in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow Street, Truro with Rev. Larry Harrison officiating. Interment in Crossroads Cemetery, Valley, Monday, May 3, 2010 at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
