Allan Roland Meuse - With deep sadness we would like to annouce the passing of our beloved Allan Roland Meuse. Born May 26, 1951 he was the son of Gertrude and of the late Roland Meuse of Windsor, Nova Scotia. Allan passed away early Sunday morning April 11 surrounded by his family at Toronto General Hospital. After graduating from Saint Francis Xavier University, Antigonish, Nova Scotia in the late 1970s he settled in Toronto to presue a career in the theater, later moving into film as a carpenter and special effects supervisor. Besides his mother, he is survived by his partner Sophia Hall, his son Aleks and his daughter Elizabeth and their mother Skai Leja. He is also survived by brothers Peter (Joyce), California; Ken (Kathy) Calgary and Michael (Katherine) Windsor. He is predeceased by his father Ronland and sister Susan. The family would like to thank the staff at Toronto General Hospital for their excellent care in the last days of his life as well as the oncology team at Princess Margaret Hospital, especially Dr, Anthony Joshua. A memorial service will take place Saturday, April 24, 2010. Arrangements are being made by the Simple Alternative Funeral Center, 275 Lesmill Rd, Toronto. At Allan's request, cremation will take plae. There will be a funeral mass for Allan at St John's Catholic Church, Windsor, N.S. in May. Details for this service will be annouced at a later date.
