Born in Spencer's Island, he was a son of the late Percy and Audrey (Berry) Stronge. He is survived by a daughter, Deborah Fitzpatrick, Amherst; sons, Gerald Garrett (Nancy), Advocate Harbour; Kevin Garrett (Eleanor), Spencer's Island; brother, Vincent, Pine Glen, NB; Ken, Port Elgin; Eldon, Amherst; Gerry, Parrsboro; step-sisters, Lorna, Anna; step-brothers, Dwayne, Keith, Donald, Louis; 5 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, June; a sister, Jeanetta; brothers, George, Royce. Visitation 6-8 p.m. Friday [April 23, 2010] at the Spencer's Island Union Church, where funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday [April 24, 2010], Rev. Greg Doyle officiating.
