Ronald David Clowes, 62, of Grand Falls died by accident at Miramichi on Friday, April 23, 2010. Born at Plaster Rock in 1947, he was a son of the late Simon and Yvonne (Arsenault) Clowes. Ron worked for Forest Protection Ltd. where he had been employed for the past ten years. He was a very experienced pilot with more than 13,000 hours of flying time under his belt. That's one and a half years in the air! Ron is survived by four children, Ronald Jr. of Calgary, Alberta, Bridget Deruiter of Edmonton, Alberta, Matthew of Moncton and Peter of Grand Falls, seven grandchildren, sisters and brothers, Norma Browne (Sam) of Grand Falls, Raymond (Donna) and Russell (Debbie) of Plaster Rock, Shirley Lanteigne (Arnold) of Moncton and Stanley (Donna) of Plaster Rock, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Resting at O'Regan's Funeral Home, 515 Everard Daigle Blvd., Grand Falls with visiting hours Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 9 to 10:30 a.m. His funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 28th at 11 a.m. from St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church, Grand Falls (Portage) with Father Curtis Sappier officiating.
