NEW GLASGOW – Kathleen Elizabeth Dorrington, 88, of the Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow, passed away Sunday, May 3rd, 2009, at the Manor.
Born in Amherst, she was a daughter of the late Marshall and Blanche (Radcliffe) Bowles.
Kathleen was a resident of New Glasgow most of her life. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She is survived by a son, Jackie, New Glasgow; a daughter, Deborah Babulal, Toronto; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
She was predeceased by her husband, Charles; sons, David George and Paul, a brother, Ronald William Bowles; half-brothers: Franklin Raymond Paris, David Paris Jr., Leonard Edward Paris and Wilbur Ernest Paris, a half-sister, Eveline Estella Paris.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the H.W. Angus Funeral Home with Rev. Morley Shaw officiating. Burial will be in the Lorne Street Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
No flowers by request. Donations in memory of Kathleen may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
