Passed peacefully away at the Veteran's Pavilion, with his nieces at his side, on May 4th, 2010, Albert Bonia, of St. Mary's, aged 88 years, WWII veteran of the Royal Artillery, 59th Regiment. Predeceased by his parents Peter & Frances Bonia; sisters: Theresa Stamp, Rose Hillier, Mary Walsh, Margaret March, brothers-in-law Mike Stamp and Jack Walsh. Leaving to mourn his brother and best friend Michael (Irene), his special nieces Gail (Scott) Kielly and Glenda (Shaun) Marshall; special great-nieces: Makaela, Megan and Abbie, great-nephew Jacob; Sisters: Rita (Eugene) Hannam, Emma (Alec) Tobin, Betty (Kenneth) Walsh, brother-in-law Tom Hillier and a large number of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Albert was a lifetime member of the Royal Canadian Legion and will be dearly missed and forever remembered by all.
