1923-2010 - The death of Ruth Beryla McGrath, of Centreville, occurred on May 4th, 2010 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital in Fredericton. Born on November 5, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Hollis and Alma (Harper) Lawrence and wife of the late Alfred (Bert) McGrath. Ruth is survived by her children, Nicola Brooks, Anita Greenhalgh (Dave) and Byron McGrath (Loretta); 12 Grandchildren; 11 Great-grandchildren; one brother, Eldon Lawrence (Leona); several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Alfred; one sister, Evelyn; and three brothers, Raymond, Marvin, and Arthur.
Visitation will be held from the Knoxford Praying Band Church in Knoxford on Thursday, May 6, 2010 from 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held on Friday, May 7, 2010 at 2:00 pm from the Knoxford Praying Band Church with Rev. Andy DeRier officiating. Interment will be in the Lower Knoxford Cemetery. For those who wish to make a memorial donation, the Canadian Cancer Society has been requested. L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors have been entrusted with the arrangements.
