Muriel Jobe
Muriel "Louise" 69, Truro, passed away peacefully on May 5th at the Colechester Regional Hospital, following a long battle with cancer. Louise is now in the arms of her Lord and Savior. Born in Amherst, she was the only daughter of Muriel A. (Fage) Dobson and the late William R. Dobson.
Louise was an avid reader and talented artist. She enjoyed painting, square dancing and Bible Studies. She was an active member of many clubs and organizations. Louise especially enjoyed 36 summers at their cottage in Pugwash Point. It was the subject of many of her paintings and drawings.
Louise is survived by her husband of 48 years, Robert (Bob) and three children, Gordon (Cindy), St. John's, Glenda (Murdock) Jean, Hammonds Plains and Brian (Cheryl), Eastern Passage. She is also survived by granddaughters, Sarah, Courtney, Amanda, Allison, Lindsay, Meghan and great grandson Hayden.
Special thanks to Dr. Lori Wood, Dr. David Henderson and the staff at VON and Palliative Care. Arrangements entrusted to Allen's Funeral Home (902-447-2167), Oxford, NS. Funeral service will be from the Little River Baptist Church at 2 pm, Saturday, May 8, 2010. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 pm preceding the service. Burial to follow at the Mansfield Cemetery.
