The death occurred at the Atlantic Baptist Nursing Home on Wednesday, May 6, 2009, of Mrs. Dorothy Susan (Domma) Allen formerly of Chestnut St., Charlottetown, in her 89th year. Beloved wife of the late James N. Allen and dear mother of Blaine (Barb) of Charlottetown, Brenda (Johnny) Gormley of Charlottetown, Brian (Lillian) of St. Peter’s Bay, Bernadette (Donnie) Burke of Charlottetown, Bryce (Carol) of Charlottetown, Jeannie (Elton) Poole of Charlottetown, Troy (Jen) of Calgary, Alta., and special mother to Brian and Stephen. She is also lovingly remembered by her 17 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; and her brother, Wayne (Arlene) Peterson. She was predeceased by her parents, George and Mary (Kneebone) Peterson; and her daughter, Beverly. The family would like to give special thanks to the nurses and staff of A Wing of the Atlantic Baptist Nursing Home for their excellent care and kindness. Resting at the Cutcliffe Funeral Home from where the funeral service will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment to follow in the People’s Cemetery, Charlottetown. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. If so desired, memorial contributions may be made to the P.E.I.
