Wilfred Gerard Cameron, age 65, of Troy formerly of New Waterford passed away in Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney on Wednesday, May 5, 2010.
He was a son of the late Michael and Euphemia (Campbell) Cameron of New Victoria. After the early death of his mother he was raised by the late Angus and Katie Cameron, Scotchtown, New Waterford.
He is survived by brothers, Michael (Harriet), Truro and Wallace (Joan), Boisdale; children, Bernice (Robert), Kavanaugh, Calgary, Gary (Laurie), New Waterford and Amy, New Brunswick and their mother, Freda (Merry); three grandchildren, Ryan, Julia and Luke and his companion, Annie MacMillan.
Wilfred was predeceased by his brother, Samual and young son, George.
At Wilfred's request there will be no visitation or service. Cremation has taken place.
Memorial donations may be made to Central Inverness Palliative Care Society.
