Passed away in the presence of his family, following a lengthy battle with cancer, at the Palliative Care Unit, St. John's, Michael Ryan, of St. Mary's, aged 80 years. Predeceased by wife Elizabeth (1975), parents William & Clara; four brothers: infants Patrick & Frances and Raymond and Dermot. Leaving to mourn three daughters: Nœlla (John), Patricia (Wayne), Madonna (Nick); four sons: Lloyd, John (Rita), Edmund (Nœlla), Michael (Deborah); three brothers: Allister (Thomasine), James (Margaret), Willie (Ann), one sister Catherine (Lloyd), 14 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Resting at Gibbons' Funeral Home, St. Mary's, on Sunday, May 16, 2010, from 7 - 9pm and Monday, May 17, 2010, 2-4 p.m.; 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial to take place on Tuesday, May 18, 2010, at 11 a.m., at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, St. Mary's.
