It is with great sadness that the family of the late Ralph Lionel Carberry announce his passing on Friday, May 14, 2010 at his residence in Corner Brook at the age of 80 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his 4 sisters: Alma Drasdowski, Texas, Audrey Shellard, Fletcher Lake, NS Shirley O'Neil, Pasadena and Carolyn Byrne (Lawrence), Corner Brook, special niece Denise Rumboldt (Wayne), Corner Brook; sister-in-law Mabel Carberry, Corner Brook and brother-in-law Robert Mosher, Corner Brook; as well as a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Hannah and Lionel Carberry, sisters Mary Anstey and Hilda Mosher, brothers Gordon and Austin Carberry. Friends may visit Fillatre's Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark's Avenue on Saturday and Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Monday, May 17 at 2:00 p.m. from The Cathedral of St. John The Evangelist, Main Street with the Very Rev. Michael Rice and Archbishop Stewart Payne officiating. As expressions of sympathy flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to St. John the Evangelist Memorial Fund or to a charity of one's choice.
