Donald L. Brooks of Southampton, NB passed away May 19, 2010 at Upper River Valley Hospital. Born in 1932 at Waterville, York Co, NB, he was a son of the late Roy and Gladys (Chase) Brooks. Prior to his retirement, he was employed for many years at St. Anne Pulp & Paper Mill in Nackawic, NB. Don is survived by a son, Don Brooks Jr. (Gail), Southampton; two daughters, Susan Miller (Jeff), Upper Kent, NB and Patricia Byram (Mike), Bristol, NB; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Don was predeceased by his wife, Nina Cronkhite; a great granddaughter, Madison Rouselle; five sisters, Anne Kerr, Yvonne Orser, Eunice Cochrane, Eileen Killam and Vivian Dore; three brothers, Burt, Walter (Tommy) and Eugene Brooks.
Visiting hours will be held at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis Drive, Nackawic on Thursday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held from the funeral home chapel on Friday, May 21, 2010 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Stephen Hoyt officiating. Interment in Lenentine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Fraser Fox, Arnold Fox, Kevin MacFarlane, Paul Brooks, Dennis Brooks and Brady Brooks.
