1935-2010 - Miramichi - Malcolm Russell Taylor, husband of Dorothy I. Taylor, of St. Patrick Drive, Miramichi, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, on Sunday, May 23, 2010, at the age of 74. Born in Chatham, on July 22, 1935, he was the son of the late P. MacDonald (Mack) and Constance (Gilliss) Taylor. He was a retired employee of Geo. Burchill & Sons Ltd. and a member of Carmel United Church, Napan; a member of the Miramichi Chapter of the Highland Society; a volunteer with Meals On Wheels. He is survived by his wife, the former Dorothy I. Bremner; one daughter, Valerie Wilson (Trevor), of Miramichi; three sons, Tim Taylor (Patty), of Napan, Robin Taylor (Patricia), of Riverview and Dale Taylor (Pam), of Miramichi; one sister, Betty MacInnis (Milton), of Miramichi; three brothers, Roy Taylor (Doreen), of New Rockford, North Dakota, Keith Taylor (Phyllis) and Roland Taylor (Elizabeth), all of Napan; four grandchildren, Jessica, Holly, Rebecca, Zachary; one brother-in-law, Dennis MacDonald, of Napan; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one sister, Jessie MacDonald; one brother and sister-in-law, Eldon and Helen Taylor.
Visitation will be at Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King St., on Tuesday only, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be held from St. Andrews United Church, Wellington St., Miramichi, on Wednesday, May 26, 2010, at 2 pm, conducted by Rev. Charlene Maguire, assisted by Rev. Derek Krunys. Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Miramichi. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Extra Mural Nursing or the Oncology unit of the Miramichi Regional Hospital, would be appreciated by the family.
