George Forsythe of Moose Jaw passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, May 24, 2010 after a courageous five year journey with cancer. He was predeceased by his first wife, Ila (Johnston), sister, Berta Ayerst; brothers-in-law: Alex Gordon, Gordon Johnston and Kenneth Ayerst. George is survived by his loving wife, Florence (Binner); sister, Edna Gordon; daughters: Betty (Doug) Hicks, Marilyn (Barry) Dies, and Sharon (David) Monseler; grandchildren: Carla Hicks (David Waldner), Dana (Gilles) Lajoie, Lyndon Hicks (Lisa Evans); Nathan Dies (Melanie Young), Leah Dies; Kevin Monseler, Derek Monseler, Christine (Steve) Lawson; great-grandchildren: Christopher, Matthew, Julia and Sean Lawson; and brother-in-law, Murray Johnston. He is also survived by Florence's family: Dale (Loretta) Binner, Doug (Joanne) Binner, Kerry (Rod) Munroe, Donna Binner, Kelly Binner and their families, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and many cherished friends. A Celebration of George's Life will be held on Thursday, May 27, 2010 at 2p.m. at Minto United Church, 1036 - 7th Avenue N.W., Moose Jaw. Reverend John Carley will officiate. Memorialization will take place at Rosedale Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, in George's memory, donations to the Moose Jaw Hospital Foundation (Union Hospital) or to Minto United Church will be appreciated.
