Passed away on May 22, 2010 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born August 1, 1944 in St. John's, Newfoundland. Survived by his loving spouse France Cazabon, devoted children Shayne and Corinne Malone and Anick Morin along with step-children Justin and Nico Taus. Predeceased by his parents William and Mary (Pearcey), sister Lillian Gosse and brothers Bill and Robert. Also left to mourn are sisters Marg Antle (Joe), Alice Antle (Bob predeceased), Carol Holwell (Paul) all of St. John's, Elizabeth Skanes (Reg) of Barrie, sister-in-law Exie Malone, brother-in-law Leo Gosse, step-family Alcide Cazabon (Jeannine), Marie Lanctot (John), Charles Cazabon (Wendy) and Lyse Keaney (Mike) as well as an extended circle of nieces, nephews, and friends. Tom came to Sudbury in 1965. He worked for INCO, then the City of Greater Sudbury until his retirement in 2009. He was an avid fan of the Montreal Canadiens, refereed hockey at the minor and Junior A levels, and umpired baseball. Tom was a very sociable man, loved to dance, travel and meet new people. Children and animals had a special place in his heart. Special thanks to Dr. Cano and nurse Sue Benoit for their compassionate care. Friends may call at the Lougheed Funeral Home, 252 Regent St. at Hazel St., Sudbury, on Saturday, May 29th, 2010 after 11am. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Saturday at 1pm.
