It is with deep sadness that we, the family, announce the sudden passing of our loving father, brother, grandfather and uncle on Monday, June 7, 2010, at the New Waterford Consolidated Hospital.
Born and raised New Waterford, he was the son of the late Hubert Sr. and Beatrice (Boudreau) Muise. He was retired from 35 years of coal mining.
Hubert enjoyed the outdoors especially hunting and fishing. He spent many hours at his cottage just outside of Iona. Hubert also loved his time in Florida during his winters.
He leaves to mourn his passing, daughters, Helen Henson (Brian), Ont., Michelle (Hughie) MacNeil, Sydney; sons, Vincent (Jackie), Halifax and Gerry (Heather), Glace Bay; sisters, Mary (Art) Carruthers, Hastings, Ont., Martha (Vince) MacCormick, Anna Marie (Melvin) Cormier, New Victoria; brothers, Charles Muise and Bernard Muise, both of New Waterford; his pride and joy grandchildren, Blair, Christopher, Lindsey, Cory, Amy, Ashely, Stephen; great-grandchildren, Cody, Paige, Cassidy; as well as many nieces and nephews and numerous great friends.
Besides his parents, Hubert was predeceased by sisters, Cecil, Loretta, Lillian, Evelyn, and Catherine; brothers, Joseph, William, and John.
Visitation will take place today (Thursday), June 10 , 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in Mclellan Brothers Funeral Home, 3183 Plummer Ave., New Waterford, (862-7500). A funeral mass celebrating Hubert's life will take place on Friday June 11, 2010 at 10 a.m. in the Parish Church of St. Leonard's, Mount Carmel Avenue, New Waterford with Fr. Douglas Mac Donald officiating. Interment will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery. A luncheon will take place immediately following the mass at the K.O.C Hall, 3226 Plummer Ave., all are welcome.
