WILLIGAR, Hazel M. - 89, of Parrsboro, Cumberland Co. passed away Sunday, June 13, 2010 at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Upper Nappan. She was a daughter of the late Stanley and Jenny (Davis) Aylward. Hazel was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by daughters, Hilda Adams (Gary); Linda Willigar (Doug); Marjorie Shaw (Ronald); sons, Ralph (Ruth); Myles (Lynda), all of Parrsboro; a sister, Mildred Snowden, Springhill. She will be sadly missed by her 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren who will remember her as Nanny with hugs, kisses, milk, cookies and unconditional love. She was predeceased by her husband, Stephen E. Willigar in 1991; sisters, Grace, Regina and Lillian; brothers, Ralph, Edward and Lloyd. There will be no visitation by her request. Funeral service 4 p.m. Tuesday at St. George's Anglican Church, Parrsboro, Rev. Tory Byrne officiating. Burial in the St. George's Anglican Cemetery. Reception will follow in the St. George's Anglican Church Hall. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or St. George's Anglican Church.
