We are saddened to announce the passing of our beloved aunt Marie-Anne Richard at the age of 89. She died Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at the Dr-Georges-L-Dumont Hospital. Born in Memramcook, she was the daughter of the late Arcade and Amanda (LeBlanc) Cormier. She is survived by five nephews and four nieces. She is predeceased by her first husband, Gérard J. "Gerry" Richard, her second, Léopold Gaudet; three brothers: infant Denis, Denis, and Dr Dollard; four sisters: Sr. Cémira, Sr. Alina, Sr. Corinne and Dolores. During her life, Marie-Anne was employed at D.N.D. Supply Depot No.5, taught school in Memramcook and Newton Heights, and managed the office of her brother, Dr Dollard Cormier.
At her request, there will be no visitation. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Christ-Roi R.C. Church, 300 Dominion Street, Moncton, on Monday, June 21 at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Memramcook. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Dr-Georges-L-Dumont Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
