AYLWARD (Davis), Laura– Long time resident of Maplewood Apartments and formerly of St. Juliens. Passed peacefully away in her 87th year on October 1st, 2008 at the Palliative Care Unit, Leonard A. Miller Center. Laura was a loving wife, caring mother, sister and aunt, special grandmother and a very special great-grandmother. Predeceased by her loving husband William Aylward, two sons Ambrose Aylward and John Aylward, parents Cecilia and Ambrose Davis, brother John Davis and two sisters Irene Davis and Bridget Ward. Left with great memories are her two daughters: Eva (Clayton Burry) , St. John’s and Sheila (George Burry), Goulds; six grandchildren: Lisa, Jason, Sherry (Jamie Searle), Trevor, Trina (Darrell Chubbs), Sonya (Darryl Butt) and a very special great-granddaughter whom she adored Isabella. Also leaving to mourn is her brother Ambrose Davis (St. Anthony), sister Veronica Bromley (St. John’s, many nieces, nephews, other family and friends. A very special thank you to compassion Home Care Workers for making her life very comfortable and enjoyable over the last four years. Also, a special thank you to the doctors and nurses at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital and The Leonard A. Miller Center. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Avenue on Friday, October 3rd, 2008 from 10 a.m. - 9 p.m. Funeral service to take place from St. Patrick’s Church on Saturday, October 4th, 2008 at 11:30 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Kevin’s Cemetery, Goulds.
