Walter George Squires, 83, Bedford, NS passed away suddenly on June 20, 2010 at the QEII Hospital in Halifax, NS. Born in Deer Lake, NL on December 22, 1926. He is survived by his loving wife Patricia at Arborstone Enhanced Care, his sister Eva Kapelanski of Scarborough, ON and brother Clarance (Budd) of Deer Lake, NL. Also a number of nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents: Fannie & Harry Squires and three sisters: Myra, Beryl and Hilda. No flowers by request. Visitation will take place on 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at T.K. Barnard Funeral Homes, 1216 Bedford Highway, Bedford, Nova Scotia where memorial services will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday. Burial will take place at 1:00 p.m. Friday in the United Baptist Cemetery, Sandy Cove.
