Died peacefully at his home in Brockville on Monday, June 28, 2010.
Predeceased by his parents, Dr. George K. and Mary (Molly) Macintosh of Halifax. Dearly loved husband for 47 years of Jean Stewart Macintosh. Much loved father of Stewart and Leona Macintosh of Stratford, P.E.I., Christopher and Michiru Macintosh of North Vancouver, B.C. Proud Grandad of Benjamin, Kate (Dorothy), Kenneth and Andrew. Dear brother of Mary Macintosh (deceased), Ann Gourley (John) of Truro, N.S., and George K. Macintosh, QC, of Vancouver, B.C. Uncle of three special nieces, Sarah, Alyson and Jane.
John was a transplanted Maritimer and a Brockvillian by choice where he practiced law for 48 years.
Friends may pay their respects at the Irvine Funeral Home, 4 James S., E., Brockville, on Friday, July 2, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted in St. Paul's Anglican Church, Pine Street, Brockville, on Saturday at 11 a.m.
