Sylvia LeBlanc, 77, wife of the late Ulysse LeBlanc of Dieppe, formely of Irishtown, passed away on Sunday, July 11, 2010 at The Moncton Hospital, following a lengthy illness. Born June 30, 1933 in Acadieville, she was the daughter of the late Urbain and Béatrice (Gallant) Thébeau. Prior to her retirement, she worked at the Filles de Jésus Convent as a cook.
She will be greatly missed by her five daughters, Linda LeBlanc (Roy) and Bernice LeBlanc (Daniel) both of Irishtown, Sandy LeBlanc of Moncton, Claudette Melanson (Jean-Paul) of Cap Pelé and Annette Buote (Tom) of Dieppe; five sons, Camille (Gisèle), Aurèle (Diane) and Roger all of Irishtown, Donald of Moncton and Claude (Eveline) of St. Sosime; one sister Thérèse Williams (Fred) of Moncton, eighteen grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, and by many nieces and nephews. Besides her husband Ulysse (2008), she is also predeceased by seven brothers, Alcide, Adélard, Aurèle, Joseph, Gérard, Ovide and Camille.
Visitation at Frenette Funeral Home Ltd., 88 Church St., Moncton (858-1900) on Tuesday, July 13, 2010 from 2 to 4p.m. and 7 to 9p.m. and Wednesday 9:30 a.m. until time of departure (10:05 a.m.) Funeral mass will be held at St. Lawrence O'Toole Roman Catholic Church, Irishtown on Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. Interment in the parish cemetery. Donations to the Friends of the Moncton Hospital (pulmonary unit) would be appreciated by the family. The family wishes to thank France and "Princesse" for the special care given to Mom during her illness.
