TRENTON – Elizabeth ‘Elissa’ Margaret Cameron, age 89 of Logan Rd., Trenton, passed away May 21, 2009 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in Scotland, she was a daughter of the late David and Isobel (Millar) Wylie.
Before moving to Logan Rd. she was a longtime resident of MacLellan’s Brook. Elissa worked for many years as a domestic. She enjoyed the company of her grandchildren, loved to knit and in later years enjoyed travelling.
She is survived by a daughter, Rosalin (Denis) Savoie, Logan Rd.; sons, Jonneth (Joan) MacLeod, Halifax; Millar (Betty) MacMillan, Mississauga, ON; seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; half brother, Derek MacLeod, Mississauga, ON.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Daniel MacMillan; second husband, Hugh Cameron; daughter, Ishbel; brother, John; sisters: Ishbel, Marilyn and Martha.
Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or funeral service at her request. A family graveside service will be held in Castle Hill Cemetery, MacLellan’s Brook with Rev. Charles McPherson officiating.
Arrangements are under the direction of the H.W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow.
