It is with great sadness that the family of the late Marie Gill of Botwood announce her passing after a short illness at the Dr. Hugh Twomey Centre, Botwood, on Saturday, July 17, 2010. She was 87 years of age. She was predeceased by husband, Charles; son, David; daughter Myrtle Hancock (Doug); sister, Hazel; brother-in-law, Cyril Fifield; brothers, Stanley and Oliver Whyatt. Left to mourn her passing are sons, Winston, Calvin (Carol), Oliver; daughters, Ruby (Cyril) Rowsell, Elsie (John) Grant and Goldie; 33 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren. Also leaving to mourn are sisters, Dorothy, Cynthia, Ruby and Sharron; brothers, William, Norman and Colin and other relatives and friends. Major Calvin Collins will conduct funeral services at The Salvation Army Citadel, Botwood on Tuesday, July 20, 2010 with interment at the Salvation Army Cemetery.
