(1925-2010) - REXTON, NB - Amédée (Médée) Doucet 85, of Rexton passed away peacefully at the Rexton Lions Nursing Home, Rexton on July 25th 2010. Born in Claire Fontaine, he was the son of the late Médée and Henriette (Hébert) Doucet. Veteran of the Second World War, Médée was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #30, Richibucto. Médée will be sadly missed by his wife; Charlotte (née McLaughlin), his seven children; Aquilla (late Marie-Rose) of Richibucto, Léo-Paul (Rose-Marie) of Richibucto, Irène (David Plourde) of Moncton, Yolande (Bruce Marsh) of Saint John, Jocelyn (Murray Jarvis) of Saint John, Jean-Pierre (Rachelle) of Richibouctou-Village, Charline (Danny Breau) of California, his three grandchildren, his three sisters; Bertha (André) of Montréal, Loda of Kouchibouguac, Henriette (Ben Doucet) of Richibucto, as well as many nieces and nephews. Other than by his parents, Médée was predeceased by one son; Gérald and two brothers; Gérard and Lorenzo.
Resting at Thompson's Funeral Home, Richibucto with visitation on Wednesday from 7-9pm, as well as Thursday from 2pm until the departure for the funeral. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday July 29th 2010 at 4:00pm, at the St. Louis de Gonzague Roman Catholic Church, Richibucto.
