It is with great sadness the family announce the death of Maureen Theresa Creamer, devoted wife of 56 years to Gordon Malcolm Creamer of Saint John, which occurred on Thursday, July 29, 2010 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born 1935 in St. John's, NF to the late Cecil Joseph and Susan (Picco) Vicars. Maureen was a devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She was an avid Bingo player and enjoyed knitting, sewing and reading; most of all spending time with family and friends. Besides her husband Gordon, Maureen is survived by her children Michael (Connie) of Rothesay, Darrell (Glenda), Carol Creamer, Timothy (Cindy) and Brenda Reinhart (Wilford) all of Saint John, Gary (Norma) of Rothesay and Shawn (Tanya) of Saint John; siblings James Vicars of Halifax NS, William Vicars (Barb), David Vicars (Alice) and Brian Vicars (Mary) all of Saint John; sister-in-law Jean Vicars of Saint John; thirteen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and many friends. Besides her parents, Maureen was predeceased by one sister Elizabeth Murray and brothers Cecil and Ronald.
Resting at the Fundy Funeral Home 230 Westmorland Rd. (646-2424) with visitation on Friday, July 30th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held from the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, July 31st at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery.
