The death of Constance (Connie) Arsneau, age 75, occurred at her home in Amherst on Monday, August 2, 2010.
Born in Amherst, she was a daughter of the late Edgar and Effie (Douglas) Lewis
As a young person she worked in the Amherst Pants Factory, School for the Deaf and was a self employed seamstress all her life. An accomplished artist she enjoyed painting historic buildings and scenery. An outdoors person, she loved fishing and was a proficient crafts maker.
Connie will be sadly missed and long remembered by her 8 children, Carol (Bruce) Beecraft, Deborah (Don) Gouchie, Shiela (James) Sippel, Connie (Michael) Smith, Danny (Ellie) Arsneau, Rose Tam, Morris Arsneau and Keith Arsneau; numerous Grandchildren; many Great Grandchildren; her ex-husband Daniel Arsneau; brother, Doug (Audrey) Lewis; sisters, Bernice Gautreau and Erma (Bob) Mills.
Connie's remains have been entrusted into the care of the Furlong Jones Funeral Home, Amherst, with visitation Thursday, Aug. 5, 2010 from 7 to 9 pm. A graveside service will be held at the Riverside Cemetery Tidnish on Friday, August 6, 2010 at 11 am, Rev. Byron Corkum officiating.
