It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of a great husband, dad and papa, Daniel Cameron McNeil, 78. Cameron passed away peacefully at the Trillium Health Centre in Mississauga with his loving family by his side.
Born in Bridgeport, C.B., he was the son of Hector and Katie (Cameron) McNeil.
Cameron is survived by his adoring wife, Orva (Hall) McNeil; his son, Ralph Barry (Reet) McNeil, Milton, Ont.; his daughter, Glenda (Drew) McNeil Lowndes, Aurora, Ont.; his sister, Jessie (Ross) Matheson, Marion Bridge; brothers, Johnnie, New Aberdeen, Alex, Bridgeport, and Fr. Ed, Ottawa, Ont. Cameron also leaves behind a very special friend, Raphael (Raffi) Bieguniak.
Besides his parents, Cameron was predeceased by his loving daughter, Daleanne Murphy (Terrence) and his brothers, Angus, Harvey, Malcolm, Pius, his sisters, Annie Theresa (MacDougal), Sadie and adopted sister, Kaye Walsh.
Cameron leaves behind the loves of his life, his grandchildren, Cameron, Michael and Leah McNeil, Maeghan Murphy, Molly-Hall and Liam Lowndes. He took great pride in his membership in Clan MacNeil in Canada where he connected with many relatives that later became very good friends.
At Cameron's request there will be no visitation, cremation has taken place. A funeral service will be held at St. Ambrose Church, 782 Browns Line, Etobicoke on Saturday at 10 a.m., with Fr. Ed MacNeil officiating.
