The death of Alice May Totten occurred on Monday, August 16, 2010 at the Saint John Regional Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Born 1929 in Collina, NB she was the daughter of the late Gordon and Annie (Benson) Mabee. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband Ashford Totten in 1972; sister Vivian MacDonald and an infant sister. Alice was a long time resident of East Saint John and worked for Sobeys for many years. She enjoyed Bingo, playing cards, traveling and spending time with her family. She is survived by sons Gary Armstrong (Sandra) of Rothesay, George Armstrong (Donna) of Rothesay, Dale Totten (Linda) of Saint John and Grant Totten (Laura) of Saint John; daughter Kimberley Totten of Toronto; grandchildren Jeff Armstrong, Neil Armstrong (Cheryl), Lyndsay Armstrong, Kelly Armstrong, Michael Armstrong, Angela Totten (Paul Scott), Carrie Totten and Brian Cook (Tracey); eight great grandchildren; brother Lloyd Mabee (Juanita) of Saint John; sisters Florence Coleman (Leonard) and Shirley Mabee (Art Duguay) both of Saint John; several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) on Tuesday, August 17, 2010 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral service will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at 2 p.m. Interment will follow in the Seventh Day Adventist Cemetery, Barnesville.
