It is with great sadness that the family of the late Donald McCarthy announces his passing at Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 56 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories: his father, Paul McCarthy of Corner Brook; sisters: Ann MacWhirter (Ron Crease) of Dartmouth, Patricia Piercey (Cal Mullins) of Corner Brook; brother, Shawn (Susie) of Toronto. He is predeceased by his mother, Victoria (1993) and his brother, David (1998). Cremation has taken place. Funeral service will take place on Monday, June 1st, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. from Country Haven Funeral Home Chapel, 167 Country Road, with Father Ambrose Hynes officiating. Interment will take place at a later date.  Donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
