The death of Christopher R.S. Walsh of Smiths Creek occurred on August 18, 2010 at the age of 37. Born in Saint John, NB a son of James and Susan (Buchanan) Walsh of Apohaqui. Chris is survived by his wife Tammy (Elliott) Walsh, daughters; Shamya and Savannah, his parents, brothers; David (Tanya) Walsh of Saint John, Daniel Walsh (Kaylynn) of Smiths Creek, John Walsh (Elizabeth) of Anagance Ridge, parents-in-law Mike and Elfreda Stacey of ON, brothers-in-law Tommy Elliott (Melissa) of Saint John and Matthew (Allison) Elliott of Newfoundland, sister-in-law Allison Chafe (Johny Raymond) of Newfoundland, godchildren; Skylar and "little man" Benjamin, five nieces and six nephews, several aunts, uncles and cousins, many friends and his extended family at Newalta. Chris was predeceased by his grandparents; Ada and Ronald Buchanan and Stan and Irene Walsh, uncle Ricky Walsh and aunt Renie Walsh.
Chris was a wonderful husband and Dad; he wanted to give everything he could to his girls. He enjoyed woodworking and was known for starting projects but not always finishing them. Chris loved life, whether he was camping or driving his motorcycle or just spending time with family and friends. He is known for his smile, his outgoing personality and his willingness to help someone in need.
The family will receive visitors at the Sussex Select Community Funeral Home, 21 Aiton Road Sussex (506-433-2133) on Sunday from 1 to 3 and 7 to 9PM. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday August 24, 2010 at 11:00AM at the Sussex Wesleyan Church. Interment will be at Riverbank Cemetery.
