BACON, Barry Leslie passed away on Aug. 8, 2010, in Belleville General Hospital, Ont., at the age of 58 from cancer. He grew up in North Range and went to Digby Regional High School. He loved sports and his favorite hockey team was the Toronto Maple Leafs. He was the son of Thelma (White) Bacon and the late Leslie Bacon. He is survived by a sister, Brenda (Len) Hannam of Parker Mountain Road; and a niece Heather Hannam, Calgary, Alta. He was predeceased by his father and grandparents, George and Mildred White, and Mel and Florence Bacon. A memorial service will be held in North Range Methodist Cemetery, Bloomfield Road, on Sept. 1 at 2 p.m., with Pastor Roy Bertaux officiating. Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
