It is with heartfelt sadness that we, the family announce the passing of Thomas 'Tommy' Michael Farrell, Aug. 16, 2010, at home in Kingston, Ont.
Born in Sydney, Nov. 23, 1948, he was the son of Bertha (MacIsaac) and the late Thomas M. Farrell Sr.
Surviving is his mother, Bertha; brothers, David, Charlie, Eddie, Donnie and Michael; sisters, Marilyn, Joann, Debbie, Catherine, Linda, Sheila and Pearl; several aunts and uncles; nieces and nephews; as well as numerous cousins.
Besides his father, Thomas Sr., Tommy was predeceased by his sisters, Marie and Patricia.
You are gone on this journey to heaven into the arms of God. We will cherish our memories forever. Rest in peace dearest Tommy. Love Mom and family.
Visitation and memorial service for the late Tommy Farrell will be held at the Pier Community Funeral Home, All Faith Chapel, 1092 Victoria Rd. (entrance on Church Street) on Friday, Aug. 27, 2010. A gathering of family and friends will take place from 1-2 p.m. with memorial service to follow with Fr. Errol MacDonald officiating. Interment will take place in Resurrection Cemetery, Sydney Forks.
Donations in Tommy's memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care and direction of the Pier Community Funeral Home.
