Anton (Tony) Bekar was born at Bayard ,Sask. on Dec 24th 1921 to Michael and Magdalina Bekar, the eldest of 19 children. Tony spent the last couple of months at the the Pineview Lodge in Nipawin where he passed away peacefully in the evening on Aug. 16th. He will always be remembered for his constant joking and teasing, and his sense of humor was known to everyone who spent time with him. A Funeral Service was held on August 24th, 2010 in the Nipawin Alliance Church in Nipawin, Saskatchewan with the interment at Pinegrove Cemetery, Carrot River, Saskatchewan. Memorial tributes may be made to the Nipawin Alliance Church or the Arborfield Special Care Home.
