DAVID LISTER
Date de décès : 29 août 2010
David Earl Lister (named for his grandfather, Earl Williams), passed away suddenly on Sunday August 29, 2010. David was born in 1955 in Moose Jaw. He was a gentle soul to all who met him and knew him. David taught himself to play guitar and was very good at it. He also enjoyed fishing and collecting model trains. He has had many good and faithful friends. His dear friend, Linda was always there for him. He was soft-spoken, had a kind sense of humour, and was a great listener. His teenage years were spent growing up on a farm south of Bengough, with his mother Florence, and his step-father, John Fearnside. David lived with his wife, Sylvia and children, Andrew and Taryn in Moose Jaw, and then in Winnipeg. Most of David's adult life was spent in Moose Jaw where he enjoyed many loyal friendships. Predeceased by his parents, Florence and Joseph, and step-father John Fearnside, he will be dearly missed by his children Taryn and Andrew and their mother Sylvia; brothers and sisters: Garry (Cathy) Lister - Regina; Bob (Shirley) Lister - Lloydminster, Arlene (Gary) Walker - Swift Current, and Jo-Anne (Wade) Holmes - Whitehorse, Yukon; and several nieces and nephews. After a brief illness David was carried home, in the arms of an angel. We know he is at peace and we are thankful for all those who cared for him during his illness and for every kindness shown to him by family and friends. A family graveside service in David's memory will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials to a charity of choice would be appreciated. In living memory of David, a tree will be planted in Besant Park by W. J. Jones & Son Funeral Home. Please sign the memorial register at website: www.wjjonesandson.com (Obituaries).
