H. Ronald Hawkes of Upper Woodstock passed away at Upper River Valley Hospital in Waterville on Wednesday, September 7, 2010, at the age of 73. Ronald is survived by his wife Ruth; two sons Douglas (Anna) Hawkes, Wynona, Ont; Bryan (Carol) Hawkes, St. Catherines, Ont; four daughters Sharon Nicol (David), Hamilton, Ont; Linda MacInnes (Don) Wellandport, Ont; Carrie-Ann Hawkes Welland, Ont; Tracy Cormier (Todd) Hantsport, NS; one sister Sandra Quartermain, Woodstock, NB. fifteen grandchildren, six great grandchildren. Ronald was predeceased by his parents Howard (Mabel Hughes) Hawkes; one grandson Nathan and one brother Bill Hawkes.
Resting at the Scott Funeral Home 815 Main Street, Woodstock, NB, there will be no visitation by request of the family. The funeral service will be held on Friday at 2:00 pm from Scott Funeral Home Chapel. The Venerable Walter Williams will be officiating.
