QUINN, JAMES E.
1925 - 2010
James E. Quinn, age 85, of River Hebert, passed away peacefully at the East Cumberland Lodge, Pugwash, on Tuesday, September 14, 2010.
Born in Lower Maccan, he was a son of the late Ellsworth and Anna Belle (Whitewood) Quinn.
James loved listening to country and western music and enjoyed the simple things in life. In his younger years, he was an avid outdoors-man with a particular interest in hunting and fishing.
He will be sadly missed by his wife of 63 years, Hestel; sons, James Jr (Wilma), Steven (Linda), Wade (Dayle), Tony (Monique), all of River Hebert; five grandchildren, Steven (Twilla), Tina (Tyler), Melissa (Andrew), Michael (Carla), and David; two sisters, Doreen (Clarence) Lewis and Phyllis Betts; and brother-in-law Ross Lewis.
Besides his parents, James was predeceased by his brother Donald "Ding", sister Elsie Boss, Mary (Eleanor) O'Brien, Beulah "Boo" Lewis and Gert Lewis.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Furlong~Jones Funeral Home, River Hebert from where visitation take place 2-4 and 7-9 pm on Thursday, September 16, 2010. The funeral service will be at the Trinity United Church, River Hebert , on Friday, September 17, 2010 at 2pm, Rev. Christine McLeod officiating.
Donations in memory of James can be made to the Alzheimer`s Society or a charity of the donor`s choice.
