It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mildred Catherine Short announces her passing on Monday, September 13, 2010 at Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre in Port aux Basques at the age of 59 years. Mildred was the daughter of the late Olive and Walter Warren. She was predeceased by her brothers: George, Phillip, and Walter; sisters: Susie and Vera; father-in-law Absolum Short. She leaves to mourn with fond and precious memories her husband of 39 years, Chesley; daughter Gloria (Nelson), Grande Prairie, AB; sons: Lawrence (Trina) and Edgar (Arlene), Cape Ray; her precious grandson Jordon Osmond, Port aux Basques; brother James (Gladys), Cape Ray, sister Gertie (James) MacIsaac, O'Regans; mother-in-law Frances Short. Cape Ray; brother-in-law Ralph, Cape Ray, Steward (Jane) Wilson, Junior (Sheila), Frank (Carolann), all of Cape Ray, Eugene (Lavina), Calahoo, AB; sisters-in-law: Patsy, Point au Aconi, NS, Linda Warren, Cape Ray, Betty Osmond, Cape Ray, Maise (Vernon) Short, Cape Ray, Catherine Pye, St. John's, Pauline Pearce, Oromocto, NB, Mary (George), Cape Ray, and a large circle of nieces and nephews and special friend Marina (Ralph) Wall, Cape Ray. Visitation took place at Fillatre's Funeral Home from 2-4 and 7-9 on Tuesday and Wednesday and at St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church in Cape Ray on Thursday morning, from where the Funeral Service was held on Thursday, September 16 at 2:00 p.m. Rev.
